Plastics Recyclers Europe Annual Meeting 2016 & 20th Anniversary

This year, the key speech will be given by Julio Garcia Burgués - Head of Unit, Waste Management & Recycling at the DG Environment, European Commission. The speakers of the conference will cover, among others, the following topics: circular economy, plastics products, plastics waste management, with a special focus on sorting.

We would like to invite all participants to the dinner on the 16^th of June to celebrate our 20^th Anniversary, which will take place in the Verbasco Restaurant at the Oitavos Hotel.
For this occasion we have organized a boat trip by the Cascais coast which will take place after the conference on the 17^th of June.

We kindly ask you to confirm your participation by filling in the registration form by no later than the 1st of June, 2016.

• HOW TO GET THERE:

1. TAXI:
   You can reach the Oitavos Hotel or the Hotel Baía from the Lisbon Airport by taxi. It is a 30 - 40 minutes ride and the price is around 30 – 40 euros.
    
2. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
   From the Lisbon Airport

• Metro:
  Red Line (Airport – Alameda) - Change to Green Line – (Alameda - Cais do Sodré)* (1.40€). From Cais do Sodré you will need to take a train to the Cascais train station (please see below) and then a taxi.

• Aerobus Lisbon Airport – Cais do Sodré (3.50€) every 20min (every 30min after 9pm). This transportation does not require a connection.
  BUS SCHEDULE

From Cais do Sodré

• Train: Cais do Sodré to Cascais (2.15€ / 4 zones ticket). Every 10 minutes. Operated by CP (Comboios de Portugal).

From the Cascais train station:

• To the Oitavos Hotel: You will need to take a taxi from the train station to the Oitavos (7-10€)
• To the Baia Hotel: 6 minutes’ walk
   

• ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA:
  The Oitavos Hotel is surrounded with the Sintra National Park. Many activities are available in the area like cycling, golf lessons, yoga lessons, squash, tennis, go-karts, segways, padel, swimming, speedboats, sailing boats and surf. In the proximity of the hotel there is an equestrian center where you can take horseback riding lessons. Helicopter tours are also offered above the Natural Park.
